The excitement and merchandizing madness is already upon those at Comic-Con, and it’s only preview night!

TheOneRing.net had people documenting everything, including dwarven stone guards, toys, Dwalin’s axes and Orcrist replicas, and last but not least, some of Weta’s collectible statues, featuring Dwalin, Thorin, Balin, Bombur, and Bilbo.

Awesome! Thanks, DJ. Love this new photo of the poster of Thorin, and the polystone figure actually looks better than I thought it would. And it was cool seeing Orcrist’s hilt and grip–I’d never seen them before. Very unusual and organic looking.
I know, there is so much to take it at once! I have not even looked at all the details in the posters yet (stupid job is getting in the way of Hobbit obsession) :)

New neo Khuzdul word on Dwal’s axes? Umraz (left one, probably mirrored on both but not sure). Wonder what it could mean…
Let me know when you figure that one out. My mind is broken with all this new stuff at once :-)
On inspection of Gentle Giant’s toy, on which both axes are visible, my guess so far is UMRAZ (L) and UEIAT (R) (these photos: http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2012/07/11/58695-torns-exclusive-look-into-gentle-giants-new-hobbit-line/#more-58695) I don’t like the sound of the second word. Too many vowels (I mean it could be that the UE combo is pronounced in a German way which would be fitting for Khuzdul), and also for the Cirth represented in the Angerthas Moria, the connecting line in the middle is slanting the wrong way. In some lights it looks like a K which sounds more Khuzdul to me, so it would be UKIAZ.
Typo last word, I didn’t mean UKIAZ, I meant to suggest UKIAT. Actually on closer inspection, I’m more sure of the last word being UKILAT: #42, #18, #39, #31, #48, #8. Yeah, pretty sure the second and third characters are 39 and 31 smushed together. So my conclusion is ‘UMRAZ UKILAT’.
