Another post by DJ with yet another interesting interview with RA, including his approach to playing Thorin’s dragon-sickness.

I can’t say I’m convinced by Tolkien’s use of ‘dragon sickness’: it’s a cop-out.

Actually, it’s perfectly easy to understand why he could nearly fling Bilbo from the ramparts: Bilbo pocketed the Arkenstone without telling him he’d even found it, and then gave it to Bard, who had previously turned up with an Elven army demanding the treasure with threats and menaces. I’d have chucked him off without hesitation.

Great article! I loved getting more insight into Thorin’s dragon-sickness. I can’t wait, it’s going to be awesome. And I got a little choked up over Graham’s farewell to Martin — more than anything else, that little story brought home how much those guys have been through over the past years.
I could have done without their “Going out on a Low” sidebar on the last page. That was pretty annoying.

I really the miss the Hobbit and the 13 dwarfs.. it was a visual treat to all those hobbit lovers. Infact, i expect one last movie about what happened to the rest of the dwarfs post the Battle of the Five armies.
